Girls’ Day Out at Gravity Zone: Reaching for the Stars!
The winter school holidays brought an exhilarating experience for our young ladies, thanks to our dedicated youth mentors Gina, Sophie, and Debi. For our holiday outreach program, they took a spirited group of girls to Gravity Zone Seaford, where laughter and joy filled the air.
The girls had an absolute blast jumping on trampolines, showcasing their tricks, and engaging in a thrilling game of dodgeball. The energy and excitement were palpable as everyone encouraged each other, creating a vibrant and supportive atmosphere.
After a fun-filled day at Gravity Zone, the group headed back to The Nest for a hearty meal prepared by Gina. As they enjoyed their delicious meal, the girls engaged in meaningful conversations about the power of transparency in sisterhood and the importance of endurance. This quality time together reinforced the bonds of friendship and inspired the girls to reach for higher goals in their lives.
Boys’ Day at the Driving Range: A Competitive Spirit
The boys had an equally exciting day, led by our outreach workers Junior and Ash. The group headed to the driving range on Skye Road for an afternoon of friendly competition and skill-building.
The boys enthusiastically took to the range, each trying to outdrive the other. Cody emerged as the top hitter among the boys, but overall, it was Ash who stole the show with a remarkable 170-meter hit. The competitive spirit was high, with everyone sharing tips and techniques on how to improve their swing.
After a fun and engaging time at the driving range, the boys returned to the office for a shared meal of chicken and rice. The camaraderie continued as they enjoyed their dinner together, even expressing a desire to continue playing golf indoors. These shared moments fostered a sense of community and connection, encouraging the boys to pursue their interests and challenge themselves.
Building Bonds and Inspiring Growth
The winter school holiday activities provided by Street Peace were more than just fun outings; they were opportunities full of inspiration and connection. Both the girls and boys had the opportunity to build stronger relationships with their mentors and peers, fostering a sense of belonging and community.
