A Current Affair Interview with Street Peace
Transforming Lives and Inspiring Communities
Journalist Seb Costello and the team from A Current Affair recently visited Street Peace and The Nest drop-in centre to learn more about our work and hear transformation stories directly from our youth. The segment featured interviews with CEO Jay Shelling and youth participants Zak and Mia, shedding light on the impactful work we do to support at-risk youth.
During the interview, Jay Shelling discussed the mission of Street Peace and shared the incredible progress the organisation has made since its inception. Zak and Mia shared their personal stories of transformation, highlighting how Street Peace has provided them with hope, stability, and a sense of community.
Since the airing of the segment, we have been overwhelmed by an outpouring of kind and supportive messages from communities across Australia. Many have expressed interest in opening their own Street Peace Hubs to support at-risk youth in their towns. This surge of support is both wonderful and exciting, showcasing the widespread recognition of the importance of our mission.
We are immensely grateful for the opportunity to share our story with a national audience and are excited about the potential to expand our reach and impact even further. Thank you to Seb Costello and A Current Affair for shining a light on our work and to everyone who has reached out with support. Together, we can continue to transform lives and bring hope to at-risk youth across Australia.
