What a blissful night celebrating our Melbourne winter at The Nest! Our Winter Wonderland event was a heartwarming success, bringing together new faces and familiar friends in a night filled with joy and connection.
Jay the Penguin, our special guest, bravely joined us on the streets during our outreach from 3pm-5pm. Jay’s presence was a hit, helping us invite youth to our Nest drop-in hub. His cheerful antics brought smiles and laughter, making the chilly afternoon much warmer.
During our outreach, we had a heartening encounter with an old member of The Nest. This unexpected reunion led to nostalgic conversations filled with gratitude, reminding us of our early days at Street Peace. It’s truly a blessing to witness the progress and transformation of our first Nest members. Seeing how far they’ve come from where they started reaffirms our mission and warms our hearts.
The night was filled with warmth and cheer, from exciting games to creamy hot cocoa, dancing, and karaoke. The atmosphere was electric with laughter and joy as everyone came together to celebrate. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the delicious food. We are incredibly thankful to the BNI Flyers – Frankston for preparing loaded burgers, pies, and brownies that everyone enjoyed.
